Doubt by RASHMI

a body with mass 0.25 kg falling down with accelaration 9.2 m/sec^2 what is the friction force of air

9.8-9.2= .6m/s^2

where is the problem?

Answer by RASHMI

these question is from Allen module please explain broadly

Answer by Divya Garg

If the body is falling down with a=9.2m/s^2, that means that net force is in downward direction and air drag is acting in the direction opposite to the gravitational force. Gravitational force always acts in the downwards direction, air drag is acting opposite to gravitational force that is in the upward direction. Air drag is equal to 9.8-9.2m/s^2 = .6m/s^2
