a stationary bomb explodes into three pieces. If the momenta of two pieces are 2i and 3j unit respectively, then what is the value of the momentum of third piece?

During explosion, total momentum remains conserved.

Initial momentum =0

Final momentum should also be zero

2i + 3j +p=0

therefore, p = -2i -3j

Magnitude of p = root(2^2 + 3^2) = root (13)
