Doubt by ashish

velocity and acceleration of particles are

v=(2i -4j) and a=(-2i+4j)

why this motion is 1d when the   veocity is in 2 axis (i and j component)

The velocity has a component of 2 in x direction and -4 in y direction. Since the direction of acceleration is exactly opposite to velocity (-2 component in x direction, 4 component in y direction), the particle will move in one direction only. Hence it is a 1 D motion.
