sir please explain what  are the BIVALENT AND MONOVALENT functional groups. and also do give examples that which are bivalent and monovalent.

Divalent/BIVALENT functional groups:these group has a valence of two. Valency is the number of chemical bonds formed, which may be covalentpolar covalent, or ionic.

Example: Compounds include the imino (=NH) and carbonyl (=O)
