The mature seeds of plants such as gram and peas, possess no endosperm, because endosperm gets used up by the developing embryo during seed development.

In orchids, endosperm formation is completely suppressed. Orchid seeds usually have no endosperm; the seed coat embraces like a balloon the air-filled space between embryo and testa.

So if we have to choose between gram and orchid then orchid is more appropriate.
