Sir on page 68 NCERT first paragraph last line it is given that stem is green when young and later become Woody, it means the stem performs photosynthesis when it is young due to chlorophyll which is shown by the green colour of stem but what happens to the chlorophyll when it grows bigger due to which the stem turns from green to brown and no longer able to perform photosynthesis?
