(i) F is more electronegative than Cl.

The difference in the electronegativity between N and F is much more than the difference between electronegativity of N and Cl. So there is need of much more energy to break the N-F bond.

(ii) Because of the low bond dissociation energy ${F}_{2}$ readily dissociates into atoms and reacts with other substances readily.

(b) (i) $C+2{H}_{2}S{O}_{4}\left(conc.\right)\to C{O}_{2}+2S{O}_{2}+2{H}_{2}O$

(ii) ${P}_{4}+3NaOH+3{H}_{2}O\to P{H}_{3}+3Na{H}_{2}P{O}_{2}$

(iii) $C{l}_{2}+\underset{\left(excess\right)}{3{F}_{2}}\to 2CI{F}_{3}$
