What is the difference between multi-molecular and macromolecular
colloids? Give one example of each.
Multi-molecular colloid is aggregation of large number of atoms
or smaller molecules of a substance having size in the colloidal
range. Whereas macromolecular colloid is the solution containing
macromolecules in the colloidal range.
Example: Multimolecular colloids: Gold sol, Sulphur sol
Macromolecular colloids: Proteins, Cellulose
