As Formula, r = K[R]2

(i) R' = 2R      $⇒$ r = K[2R]2 = 4KR2

$\therefore$ Rate becomes 4 times than original rate

(ii) R' =$\frac{1}{2}$R    $⇒$ r = K${\left[\frac{R}{2}\right]}^{2}$ = $\left[\frac{K}{4}\right]$R2

$\therefore$ Rate becomes $1}{4}$ times of the original rate
