the circuit and phase angle between voltage and current. Find the condition

when current will be in place with the voltage. What is the circuit in this

condition called?

(ii) In a series LR circuit ${\mathrm{X}}_{\mathrm{L}}=\mathrm{R}$ and power factor of the circuit is ${\mathrm{P}}_{1}$. When

capacitor with capacitance C such that ${\mathrm{X}}_{\mathrm{L}}={\mathrm{X}}_{\mathrm{C}}$ is put in series, the power

factor becomes ${\mathrm{P}}_{2}$. Calculate ${\mathrm{P}}_{1}/{\mathrm{P}}_{2}$.                                          (5 marks)
