The bacterium Stepiococcus that produces stteplokinase is used as 'clot buster'.

This enzyme has a fibrinolytic acton that breaks dow the clots formed inthe blood vessels of patients who have undergone myocardial intacion. This revents heat attack in these patients that can otherwise occur because of occlusion by the clots.
