Ganga runs from Gangot in the Himalayas lo Ganga Sagar in the Bay of Bengal. The

Ganga Action Plan (GAP) was 2 program launched in Apa 1986 in order to reduce the

pollution load on the Fiver Ganga.

The states involved in Ganga Action Plan are— Uttaranchal, UP, Bibar, West Bengal and jharkhand.
