Identify the products A and B formed in the following reaction

CH3CH2  CH=CHCH3+HCl CH2CH2CHCH3
                                                                                                   |
                                                                                                 Cl
                                                                       (2-chloropentane)
                                                                              +CH3CH2CHCH2CH3
                                                                                                               |
                                                                                           (3-Chloropentane)

The carbocation formed from compound (A) is slightly less stable than carbocation

jeading to the formation of compound (B) therefore the amount of 2-chloropentane (B) will

be little bit more than that of 3- chloropentane (A).
