When any aromatic primary amine react with cold aqueous solution of NaNO2 and HCl then 1st diazoltization of primary -NH2 will occur which convert it into -N2+.
Then attack of Cl- will occur ipso to -N2+ leaving and replaces it with Cl to form Chlorobenzene as product. This is called Sandmaeyer reaction.
