Q.18 What is the Bulk modulus for a perfect right body?

Hint: In a perfect rigid body, the distance between any two points does not change.

Step 1: Find the Bulk modulus of a perfect rigid body.

Bulk modulus, (K)

= \frac{P}{∆ V / V} = \frac{PV}{∆ V}

For a perfect rigid body, the change in volume,

∆ V = 0

∴ K = \frac{PV}{0} = \infty

Therefore, the bulk modulus for a perfectly rigid body is infinity
