(4) Equivalent external resistance of the given circuit ${R}_{eq}=4\text{\hspace{0.17em}}\Omega$

Current given by the cell $i=\frac{E}{{R}_{eq}+r}=\frac{10}{\left(4+1\right)}=2\text{\hspace{0.17em}}A$

Hence, $\left({V}_{A}-{V}_{B}\right)=\frac{i}{2}×\left({R}_{2}-{R}_{1}\right)=\frac{2}{2}\left(2-4\right)=-2\text{\hspace{0.17em}}V.$
