(2) Fungi imperfecti belongs to the class deuteromycetes of the kingdom fungi. They are terrestrial with septate mycelium. No sexual reproduction occurs but asexual reproduction by conidia takes place, e.g., Colletrotrichum falcatum cause 'red rot' in sugarcane.
