NEET Counselling and Admission : 

All the candidates applying for the Medical and Dental colleges in Maharashtra must have to register themselves for the NEET Counselling. Directorate of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai is expected to conduct the Maharashtra MBBS counselling in the First week of July. After the authorities have published the provisional merit list, the candidates will be required to select any one centre for document verification, out of four centres specified by the authorities in online registration. A verified provisional list will be issued by the authorities after the conclusion of document verification.

Only those candidates whose documents are verified and their names have been included in the Maharashtra MBBS merit list will be considered eligible to participate in the Maharashtra MBBS counselling process.The counselling will be conducted in three rounds in online mode which includes Mop-up round.

So, Let’s take a quick view of the whole process of counselling :

Registration : Candidates need to candidates need to give preference of institutes participating in Maharashtra MBBS counselling.Only the candidates who have filled the application form and have been declared eligible after the document verification session will be eligible to register themselves for the Maharashtra MBBS counselling.

Choosing and locking : After login, candidates can fill their choices online in the ‘preference form’ that will appear on the computer screen.Candidates can choose the course as well as college of their preference and then lock-in the chosen preferences in the online portal.

Seat Allotment : The allotment list for the first, second and mop-up round containing names of the candidates in the order of merit will be published on the official website of Maharashtra MBBS admission.

Report to Alloted College : If a seat is alloted to the candidate, it’s his wish either to reject the allotment or accept it.The candidates who are allotted a seat will be required to report at the assigned college with the required documents, a demand draft of the prescribed fee amount, and two copies of the registration form for submission of the necessary documents.
