The admission process of Meghalaya will be conducted by North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong.

North Eastern Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health & Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong, Meghalaya is an Autonomous Institute established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in 1987. The then Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi dedicated the Institute to the memory of Late Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister for her commitment to the welfare and affection for the people of the North Eastern Region.

CBSE has decided to reduce the syllabus from Class IX to XII and this could also have an impact on the syllabus of NEET 2021. However, for those who are in class 11 or 12, their focus should be Exam Preparation. NEET syllabus is divided into four subjects - PhysicsChemistryBotany and Zoology. Students need to complete all the 97 chapters of the NEET Syllabus in order to score a good rank in NEET Exam. Counseling and Admission Process of Meghalaya NEET :

North East Indira Gandhi Regional Institute of Health and Medical Sciences (NEIGRIHMS), Shillong is the authority that will be conducting the Counselling and Admission process of Meghalaya.

The counseling for Meghalaya MBBS/BDS admission will be conducted by NEIGRIHMS. Admission of students to Meghalaya MBBS 2021 will be conducted as per the merit list released by the authorities. The mode of counseling for Meghalaya MBBS/BDS admission 2021 will be offline. Meghalaya MBBS counseling will have only one round. Candidates will be required to physically report at the NEIGRIHMS campus on the scheduled date. The candidates need to bring their original certificates/documents along with the self-attested copies and passport size photographs to the Meghalaya MBBS counseling center to get them verified.

Counseling Committee reserves the right to withdraw the name of the candidate from the merit list of state, if any, placed inadvertently who is not eligible to be placed in the state merit list due to any reason.

So now Let’s take a quick view of the whole process of counseling:

Registration: All the merit listed candidates who wish to participate in the counseling procedure for admission must register in due time.

Document Verification: The candidate has to attend the document verification session and get his/her application authenticated. The candidate has to submit the counseling/application fees and taking the print out of the transaction. The candidate has to submit self-attested copies of documents along with Originals.

Choice Locking: The candidate has to submit his/her choice of course and college in order of preference as per schedule.

Seat Allotment: College and course will be allotted on merit basis. The candidate has to deposit the original College Leaving Certificate / School Leaving Certificate as the case may be and will be issued a provisional admission letter.

Reporting to the Allotted College: The candidate must report before the authority of the institution allotted within the stipulated date as notified and submit a copy of the provisional admission letter for completion of the admission process at the institutional level.

Candidates must carry the allotment letter along with other required documents while reporting to the allotted college.

Important Guidelines to fill Application Form :

i. Candidate should follow the instructions carefully and fill in the online Application Form taking the utmost care.

ii. The Institute will not be responsible for faulty communication due to an incorrect address given by the applicant in the Application Form.

iii. Incomplete Application Form will be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

iv. If the ineligibility of a candidate is detected at any stage, before or after the admission, his/her candidature will be summarily rejected.
