Counselling and Admission Process of UP NEET :

DMET, UP will prepare and release the merit list of UP MBBS/BDS, which will contain name of candidates, scores and All India Rank, NEET percentiles and UP MBBS state merit rank.

DMET, Uttar Pradesh will conduct two rounds of counselling of UP MBBS for seat allotment process. Once the seats will be allotted, the selected candidates must report at the respective colleges for verification of documents and completion of admission procedure. After the first round of counselling is completed, the authority will organise the second round of UP MBBS/BDS counselling to fill the vacant seats left.

So, Let’s take a quick view of the whole process of counselling :

Registration : During the registration for MBBS and BDS counselling, candidates will be required to enter their preferences of colleges as well as courses, in which they wish to get admission into. The applicants are required to register online on the official portal. Fill all the details asked in the application form. They can enter as many number of preferences as they want.

Choosing and locking : After login, candidates can fill their choices online in the ‘preference form’ that will appear on the computer screen. Candidates can choose the course as well as college of their preference and then lock-in the chosen preferences in the online portal.

Seat Allotment : Seat allotment will be done on the basis of candidate’s choice filled, category, rank, and availability of seats.

Report to Alloted College : The candidates who are allotted a seat will be required to report at the assigned college with the required documents, a demand draft of the prescribed fee amount, and two copies of the registration form for submission of the necessary documents.

After the final allotment, candidates can pay the fee and download the admission ticket from the concerned website. Candidates must carry the allotment letter along with other required documents while reporting to the college.

Documents Required :

Candidates who have applied for NEET Exam need to know that there are some documents required at the time of admission in the colleges.

Given below is the list of documents that candidates need to keep in hand :

  • NEET Admit Card
  • NEET Score card.
  • Class 10 or equivalent examination passing certificate/mark sheet/admit card.
  • Class 12 or equivalent exam passing certificate/mark sheet/admit card.
  • Caste certificate.
  • Six passport size photographs printed in the admit card and used in the application form of NEET.
  • Copy of aadhaar card.
  • Printout of filled in Application Form.
  • All other documents and certificate mentioned in the prospectus of admission.
  • Domicile certificate.
